🥾 Hike of the Week: Basin Pond
Maintained by the Berkshire Natural Resources Council(BNRC), this spectacular trail offers a scenic trek through a glacier-carved natural amphitheater.
- Ease: Moderate (includes some fun stream crossings on step-stones).
- Length: 2.5-mile trail loop.
- Sites: Beautiful vibrant wetlands, a dedicated wildlife viewing deck (perfect for spotting active beaver dams, herons, or even a moose!), and a massive glacial boulder field for kids to climb and explore.
- Location: Lee, MA (just 5.8 miles from Berkshire House Stay!)
🧗 Summer Slopes: Our favorite winter mountains are fully transformed into summer playgrounds. Try out the massive "Catamonster" zip line and aerial adventure park at Catamount, ride the legendary alpine super slide and mountain coaster at Jiminy Peak, navigate the deep tree canopy at Ramblewild, or fly down the Thunderbolt Mountain Coaster at Berkshire East.
