1. What are the best things to do in the Berkshires in Summer?
- Answer: Most people head to Tanglewood, Shakespeare & Co, and Jacob's Pillow in the summer. We love those venues, but if they are sold out, there are other options.
- Naumkeag: The grounds are slways open and ready for a quiet stroll. It’s the perfect time to explore the famous Blue Steps and the 48-acre Gilded Age estate. The architecture and mountain views are stunning year-round, but there is a special magic to the gardens in the summer.
- Hancock Shaker Village and Berkshire Botanical Garden both offer some lovely strolls and opportunity to learn about the Berkshires history.
- For theatre, in addition to Shake & Co. there is Barrington Stage Company at the Blatt Center or the Boyd-Quinson Theater; the Berkshire Theater Group at the Unicorn and the Playhouse Theater in Stockbridge, the Colonial Theater in Pittsfield or the Mahaiwe in Great Barrington.
